"NO DEMOCRATS ON OUR STREETS!"

During a partyrally held by the political party "The democrats" 4 p.m. on the 22nd of August 2005, around 40 activists from SOS-racism attacked the party leader Vidar Kleppe. The activists threw eggs and other objects at mr. Kleppe in addition to delivering several blows to Kleppe`s head with their tolerance-on-a-stick posters. The leader of SOS-racism, Trond Thorbjørnsen later tried to con his way out of the violent attacks. To "VG" - the largest newspaper in Norway, Thorbjørnsen stated; "We have had a debreefing and have come to the conclusion that none of our members threw eggs or was part of the vandalism. We demonstrated by facing the wrong way and outcrying the speach."

- A picture from the TV2 newsbroadcast at 2100 hrs on the 22nd of August showing SOS-racism spokesman Stig Berntzen (in red t-shirt) hitting Vidar Kleppe with an SOS-racism poster.

Bluff called by TV2 - genocide activist and SOS-racism spokesman exposed.

However, the marxist activist (coming from an intellectual upper-ten home) Stig Berntzen is easily recognized in the report broadcasted by TV2 after the small riot. In TV2`s pictures Berntzen is one of the more agressive activists and is clearly seen hitting Kleppe over the head with his poster, practically stapled to a wooden stick. Berntzen has on several occations made statements to the press as a representative for SOS-racism. On one occation in 1997 mr. Berntzen left a televised discussion after being laughed out by opponents as well as the audience. Berntzen has also been observed marching around the downtown area of Oslo in full skinheadgear and has posed as an activist in acts of terror committed by Anti-facist Action, an "elite" organisation uniforming themselves in black SS-inspired uniforms. Berntzen is also a member of the central committee of the Workers Communist Party. In addition, the SOS-racism activists desecrated an Israeli flag and shouted anti-semittic slogans. The TV2 broadcast and CONFLICTS own material shows that both the violence and the flag-desecration was cheered on by the majority of the demonstrators holding SOS-racism posters.

Kleppe refuses to quit

In addittion to the attack on the party leader, SOS-racism destroyed soundequipment belonging to the Democrats. Mr. Kleppe was, in spite of the attack, only slightly wounded and was able to continue his agitation - through the microphones of the media, as his own was stolen by the SOS-racism activists.

"I will not be stopped in what I believe is an important struggle for our Nation!" mr. Kleppe stated to TV2 before leaving the area.

No police intervention

The Operative Commander (U05) of the Oslo police was present and recruited units from among others, Manglerud and Sentrum precincts. However the police servicemen did not intervene during the events discribed.
